Kyomi

As most of you know, I have a new dog! This page is dedicated to her!

  • Name: Kyomi (cutie in Korean)
  • Age: 3-4
  • Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Mix
  • Likes:  Kyomi loves to cuddle! She also loves playing fetch, sleeping under the covers, running around the room in circles, stealing my socks, going for long walks (she doesn't even need to be on a leash!), running, barking at dogs much larger than her, chasing anything that moves, and going on trips!
  • Dislikes: Baths, large things that blow in the wind, the delivery man, meeting new people, baths, and waking up earlier than normal.
  • Why did you get a dog?
    • At first, I was just fostering Kyomi, which is when volunteers take care of a pet until someone adopts them. But, I became quickly attached, which was easy because it was around Christmas time, when I was most homesick.
  • Where did you get her?
    • I adopted her from KAPS (Korean Animal Protection Society) located in Daegu. It's a great shelter run by amazing Korean women, and and a number of foreign volunteers. They have monthly dog walks if you want to get involved!
    • Check out the KAPS facebook page
    • Check out Animal Rescue in Korea, another great site for people looking to adopt/volunteer at animal shelters all over Korea!
